Home for a musician and acoustician which explores the way materials reverberate and can absorb sound. Designed for a young couple, this low-cost extension and conversion also optimizes the spatial potential of a flat, where music can now be made and enjoyed. Key design elements organizing the spaces are the bold sliding spine wall and sculptural tri-board stair.
