Wimbledon Kitchen Garden:
Our latest scheme celebrates new views into a re-designed urban garden. Traditional fences and borders are replaced with sensuous living boundaries and edible fences. The fences will produce food for friends and family to be processed in the new generous kitchen ’workshop’ and afford lush new views from the window seat all year ‘round.
The strategy of the exterior materiality stays within brick format whilst introducing colour, contrast and reflection at ground level, which binds together existing and proposed.
Option 2 reveals lush new views into a re-designed garden on the side, while Option 3 near doubles the footprint and introduces a sculptural stair design which can be viewed from all GFL spaces.
